Overview
All four of Caterpillar’s medical plan options include prescription drug benefits through Magellan Rx, although the coverage works differently depending on your medical plan election.
Here are the benefits for retail, specialty and mail order (home delivery) pharmacies.
Retail Pharmacies
Make the most of your prescription drug benefits by using in-network pharmacies: Walmart, Kroger, Walgreens and pharmacies in the Community Pharmacy Prescription Drug Network (CPRxN) and their affiliates.
Specialty Pharmacy

Mail Order (Home Delivery)
The mail order (home delivery) program allows you to order up to a 90-day supply of your long-term maintenance medications that are conveniently delivered to your door. You can order online, by phone or via mail. Learn more.
Wait! Do These Benefits Apply to You?
The benefits described here apply to BCBS National (EPO) participants and CDHP participants. In addition, they apply to UHC Choice Plus (PPO) participants who are:
- Active employees
- Retired Production Hourly who retired after:
- Central Labor Agreement - 4/1/2011
- Joliet - 8/20/2012 and
- Mapleton Patternmakers - 10/1/2012
- Retired Production Hourly on the management plan

How the CDHPs Cover Prescription Drugs
In the UHC Consumer Choice (CDHP) and UHC Consumer Max (CDHP), you’ll pay the full negotiated rate for non-preventive medical services and prescription drugs until you meet the deductible.
