(For regular full-time employees; not applicable to bargained or Solar employees)

Caterpillar offers you a safety net in the event you’re unable to work due to a serious illness or injury. If you become disabled, you may be eligible for salary continuation, short term disability (STD) and long term disability (LTD) benefits after you satisfy a waiting period. Pre-existing condition limitations may apply. See the Summary Plan Description for complete details.

Salary Continuation

Eligible employees can receive salary continuation for an illness or injury before STD kicks in, if necessary. For details, visit Salary Continuation/Disability HR Policy - U.S. support and management employees (on Cat @work; requires CWS login).
