Get Active!

Insufficient physical activity is one of the leading risk factors for death worldwide and a key risk factor for noncommunicable diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and even certain types of cancers. Globally, 1 in 4 adults is not active enough, and more than 80 percent of adolescents are considered insufficiently physically active.

Getting active does not necessarily mean committing to a stringent exercise program. In fact, physical activity is considered any body movement that engages your muscles and requires more energy than just resting. Any physical activity is better than none, and you can gain health benefits from as little as 60 minutes of moderate physical activity per week!

Even the smallest lifestyle changes can produce big results, and Caterpillar Total Health Services wants to help you get active! Explore some of the well-being resources centered around physical activity listed below. Remember: Always consult your healthcare provider before beginning a new exercise, stretching, or physical activity regimen!
