U.S. RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN
Caterpillar offers a 401(k) Plan that allows you to save for retirement through your own before-tax or Roth after-tax contributions and company contributions. Our plan recordkeeper, Alight, offers additional savings tools to assist you in making the right investment decisions. The plan offers a wide variety of investment options from which to choose.
New Hires or Newly-Eligible Employees
You’ll receive a packet from the Caterpillar Benefits Center (Alight) soon after your hire date — or once you meet the eligibility requirements, if applicable —with all of the details.
How to Enroll and Make Changes
You can enroll in the 401(k) Plan as soon as you are set up in Alight’s system (usually within 7 – 10 days from your date of hire).

NAMING A BENEFICIARY
Be sure to name your beneficiaries for your 401(k) when you enroll in the plan. You can make changes to your beneficiary elections at any time through CatBenefitsCenter.com.
